Join us on an adventure
Our experiences follow nature's own rhythm. We adapt to the changing seasons, the light, the snow, the water, and the stillness or vibrancy of the forest. That's why no stays are exactly the same, but each part is shaped by what nature offers at the time.
And just as the seasons change, we also make room for what's important to you. Each package can be customised, whether you're looking for tranquillity, adventure or something in between. Here, it's nature, the moment and you that decide.
Spring & Summer
Quad Bike Tours
The quad bike is ready. So is nature. Together with our guide, we'll tailor a tour specifically for your group. The guide will show you the way, the pace will be adjusted to suit you, and we'll decide on the exact route based on your wishes and nature's conditions. When it's time for a break, we'll have fika where it's best today. Sometimes outdoors by a fire with a view, sometimes in the kota up at the wilderness camp, sheltered from wind and weather. There will always be hot coffee in your cup, something delicious to eat, and a moment to unwind together surrounded by fantastic nature.
The short tour - 1.5 hours driving time
SEK 1 350 incl. clothing and equipment and forest coffee. One person per machine.
Intermediate hours - 3 hours driving time
2 300 SEK incl. clothing and equipment, forest coffee and sandwich.
2 445 SEK incl. clothing and equipment, forest coffee and lunch.
Full day trips - 6 hours of experience, as long as you want.
3 550 SEK including clothing and equipment, forest coffee and lunch.
The option to book overnight accommodation with dinner and breakfast, as well as a wood-fired sauna and a hot tub by the fire, is available at our Wilderness camp. You can also book an overnight stay in Knute's Guesthouse

Husky-Walk
Man's best friend and a warm, soft, loving and mischievous encounter. Huskies are built to move – and they're happy to bring humans along for the ride! In the spring, there's plenty of energy but the pace is a little calmer after all the winter sled tours. You'll meet properly before setting off and moving around pine forests and waterways. With a harness and lead, you'll soon be a real team!

Summer fishing
Svansele ♥ Fishing. A missed favourite is finally back. Imagine an early summer morning, the dew still on the grass and the birds chirping in the woods. The water is mirror-still and the only thing visible are insects jumping around on the surface. Suddenly there's a tug on your rod, and adrenaline rushes through every cell of your body.
Book a full-day fishing trip with our knowledgeable guide, who will lead you to the hidden gems around Svansele where you can catch everything from pike to game fish. Or why not try your luck fishing from a boat on the Skellefte River?
The fishing trips are half-day trips with lunch and refreshments included.

Hiking in Svansele
We have three nature reserves around us – and you can hike between them. The nature around Svansele is fantastic, speaking of the cycles of life for generations past. Here, you have the opportunity to experience a hike amongst pine heaths along not just one or two, but three nature reserves. The most famous is Svansele Dammängar with its beautiful stream running through a landscape that today stands untouched but bears witness to much life and activity for survival in times gone by. You can make use of marked hiking trails, or book a guided hike with our guide to gain even more insight into the culture and nature you are experiencing.

Autumn
Forest Delicacies
Did you know that Svansele, in addition to its rich flora and fauna, is also rich in mushrooms? In the dry heaths, you'll find classics such as porcini mushrooms, but it also boasts one of the world's most expensive delicacy mushrooms. The colossal mushroom, or Matsutake as it's known internationally, thrives perfectly here.
We gather and our guide shows us their favourite spots. Afterwards, we gather, fry them and eat them with delicious accompaniments.

Autumn
The Bunny in Annastugan
With us, you can choose between soft cake or light oven bread, a classic Västerbotten flatbread that requires both skill and patience. But you're not alone – with our housewife by your side, even the tricky becomes possible! She will show you the craft from the ground up, just as it has been done here in the villages for generations. No machines – just rolling pins, hands, and time.
Once everything is ready, you gather and enjoy coffee and freshly baked bread, with a generous dollop of butter and tasty accompaniments, inside Annastugan's very own time capsule – a 1950s-style coffee lounge.

No electricity.
No running water. Completely silent.
As if time stood still. And that's the intention.
In Utmarken, you leave stress behind you. Below, a spring flows. Nature reserves and hiking trails stretch out all around. The air is crisp and clean. The sauna is wood-fired. The hot and cold tubs are heated the old-fashioned way. For those who dare, there's a slide down into a final plunge.
The food is cooked over an open fire. The coffee too. It takes as long as it takes, and it tastes accordingly. Stay overnight or visit us for the day.
There is an option to book a spa ritual with organic products.
Guests must book for a minimum of 6 people.

Snowmobile tours

Sometimes out by a fire with a view, sometimes in the lavvu up at the wilderness camp, protected from the wind and weather. There will always be hot coffee in the cup, something tasty to eat, and a moment to relax together with the fantastic nature all around us.

Ice fishing
Sitting by the ice, waiting for the fish, is a feeling that is hard to describe.
But that's exactly what it is.
You lower the line into the freshly drilled hole and wait. Around you, nothing but white ground, pine forest and the sky. It's not boring. It's just right. And soon you'll get a bite.
Midday, we light it up and brew coffee over an open flame. It tastes completely different out in the cold and you'll understand what we mean when you're sitting there.
What you catch, you naturally get to keep.

Winter
Snowshoes
It looks easy. And it is, for a while. Then it's training!
Snowshoes take you out into terrain that would otherwise be inaccessible. Through the forest, over the bog, along the ice where there are no tracks. Each step sinks down a little, supports a little, and it's precisely this that makes you feel a certain way afterwards that is difficult to put into words. Tired, but the right sort of tired. Calm.
We will guide you out into the surrounding Svansele, show you the way, and tell you about what you are going through. Here you will have the chance to experience the landscape, the animals, and what lives here when no one is watching.
You don't need to have done it before. You just need to be prepared that it's a little harder than it looks. When we find a good spot, we light a fire and boil coffee.
